The money you donate will directly impact the education of future contributors to the frontlines of social programming and supports in our local/regional Springfield communities. Mental health currently is suffering from a supply and demand problem and we need to do everything we can to populate the social work/mental health pipeline. These monies will go a long way toward off-setting the associated costs of receiving an undergraduate degree in Social Work.
Examples of how your gifts make an impact:
1) Micro-Scholarships for associated field placement costs ($200–1000): Examples include but are not limited to: required learning platforms (e.g., Tevera), professional development/conferences, background checks, site fees, travel to and from sites. These are real, concrete barriers for students, especially first-gen/low-income students
2) Emergency Hardship Mini-Grants ($200-1000): For students facing sudden financial crises. Examples include but are not limited to: car repairs for site placement travel, childcare issue, unexpected medical bill
