This year marks 25 years of IIP advocating for people who have been wrongfully convicted and imprisoned in Illinois for crimes they did not commit. With your support, we have brought justice to 33 innocent men and women!
There’s much work to be done. Hundreds of innocent people write to us every year. So, at the same time we celebrate 25 years, we are planning for the next 25. We're focused on expanding and deepening our advocacy, education and reform efforts, strengthening partnerships and building a sustainable future for the organization and our clients.
While a donation of any amount is appreciated, $25 in honor of our 25th Anniversary is a great way to show you stand with the innocent.
Your gift will join others to help us conduct costly and critical work to prove innocence and prevent wrongful conviction of innocent people, such as:
- $125/hour for investigator to locate evidence
- $500/hour for forensic expert review
- $1,000 to visit one innocent client in prison
- $2,000 for one basic DNA test
- $4,000 to conduct one police training session
- $5,000+ to DNA test multiple evidence items
