2nd Act for the UIS Performing Arts Center

The curtain first rose on Sangamon Auditorium in 1981. Now, after 40+ years of unforgettable performances, it’s time for a well-deserved intermission—but only for a brief 15-minute…oops… month pause before our 2nd Act!

We’re planning exciting upgrades, including new seats designed for patron comfort, new carpet, and updated finishes—and we invite you to join us by supporting the 2nd Act Campaign.

This special, one-time fundraising effort will fund critical renovations during our temporary closure. When we reopen in Fall 2026, your gift will help ensure a refreshed, more comfortable experience for you and for all our patrons.
