In Memory of Mary Lee (Hill) Dimond

About

Mary Lee (Hill) Dimond was a teacher of both students and children. After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1953, she taught home economics in Nauvoo, Illinois. She continued to substitute teach for many years while raising a family of four and volunteering in support of numerous church and other organizations. Along with her husband, William Dimond (B.S. 1951), she made several trips to participate in projects sponsored by Rotary International to bring safe drinking water to the citizens of the Dominican Republic. Her love and support of children never ceased as she continued as a substitute teacher at elementary schools in Kalamazoo, Michigan after a normal retirement age.

Your support will establish the Mary Lee (Hill) Dimond Scholarship, benefiting a College of ACES student majoring in Human Development and Family Studies.
