Charlie Schweighauser (1936-2025) was associated with Sangamon State University and then University of Illinois Springfield for over fifty years. He taught classes in and astronomy, environmental studies, and English as well as having a strong interest and association with music. Many recall his passion for teaching and sharing the wonder of the night sky through public outreach. He oversaw the construction of the UIS campus and research observatories and began the popular ongoing tradition of UIS Star Parties. Contributions to the Schweighauser Fund will be used to continue his legacy in astronomy education and outreach. Thank you for remembering Charlie with your support.
