David A. Mizer Cheerleading Education Fund

About

David A. Mizer Cheerleading Education Fund

David Mizer is a proud member of the University of Illinois Cheerleading Squad from the Class of 1993. On December 25, 2021, David was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Since then, David has been focused on meaningful ways to leave a legacy to those people and groups that have meant the most to him. One of those groups are the Fighting Illini cheerleaders.

To that end, David has established the David A. Mizer Cheerleading Education Fund. The goal of the fund is to provide a minimum of a $1000 annual scholarship to at least one members of the Illinois cheer team to support his/her education. He would also like to encourage everyone who cares about the University of Illinois Cheerleading Program to join him in supporting this fund with an annual gift. The more people who give to the fund the more impactful it can be with the ultimate goal to fully fund the education of every Illini cheerleader.

Thank you, David, for your leadership and for passing a legacy to all future generations!
